Setting Up Your Second and Third Shopify Bundle: Expanding Your Strategy
When to Add a Second Bundle
Add a second bundle when your first one has been running for at least two weeks and is showing positive results. The two-week minimum ensures you have enough data to confirm the first bundle is working before you invest time in configuring another. If your first bundle is producing AOV uplift and clear widget engagement, it is a strong signal that your customers respond well to the format and a second bundle in a different category will also perform.
Choosing Your Second Bundle Category
Look at your store analytics for the product category with the second highest traffic that does not already have a bundle. This is your most obvious second bundle opportunity. The product category is already getting visits; the bundle gives those visitors an additional reason to add more to their order. Use Bundle MixMatch to set up the new bundle with the same tier logic as your first, then adjust based on performance.
Varying Tier Structures Across Bundles
Your different product categories may have different average order quantities and different margins. A supplement bundle might work well with a first tier at 3 units, while a homeware bundle might convert better with a first tier at 2 units. As you expand, take the time to calibrate the tier thresholds for each new category based on typical cart behaviour in that category. See the tiered discount guide for more on structuring tiers effectively.
Managing Multiple Bundles
With multiple bundles running, regular review becomes important. Check bundle performance monthly and identify your highest and lowest performers. Update product selections seasonally and adjust tier thresholds if conversion data suggests a change is needed. The FAQ covers bundle management in detail.
